The answer appears to be...yes. And why not? Don't the motivation and persuasion books tell us that committing publicly to an idea makes it more likely you'll take action?
So, here goes. I, Anne, will learn to embroider very, very well. I will write about it. I'll even learn to post pictures of my projects as they develop. And, I will design my embroidery from scratch, use reclaimed materials wherever possible and ... at first...make really, really bad embroidery.
Because I'm learning. And you can learn with me. We'll do this together, me and the wide empty blogger space where no-one's listening. And that's o.k. Because I can pretend you're out there, and that is...oddly...motivational, too.
